FITNESS improves recovery
The human body is ‘built to take it’ — nobody proves that more than using alcoholics and addicts. Creating extremes of poor fitness, weight problems, diminished capabilities and shortened lifespan with a poorer quality of life become ‘normal’. The 12-StepGym can be part of healing and better overall health and wellness.
Ongoing, regular workouts are a way to get into shape. And, over the long haul, building a community around work at the gym is just as important as it is in other aspects of a recovery program. It’s better have a buddy to work out with so we can help another person get to gym and keep ourselves accountable. 12-StepGym workouts are simple, and best worked with a buddy.
Tracking progress and goal setting is important in helping get better. While there are thousands of awesome workout methods and practices, 12-StepGym utilizes simple, machine-based workouts along with ‘counting approximate pounds.
